Bolder Sounds Celtic Pipes V3 for Logic Pro and MainStage
Celtic Pipes V3 started with a simple conviction — that earlier versions of this library could sound better. We went back to the original recordings and rebuilt everything from the ground up, and the improvement is significant. V3 also introduces scripted ornamentation for the first time, bringing authentic Celtic pipe ornaments directly into your DAW with no extra setup required. Custom scripts for vibrato and pitch bend are also included, each with a full GUI giving you detailed control over the behavior to suit your playing style.
Three instruments are featured in this library: Uilleann Pipes (Elbow Pipes), Scottish Highland Bagpipes, and Pub Pipes. Each instrument comes with a full set of articulations controlled through the V3 scripted ornamentation system, and is available in both keyswitch and velocity-switching versions — simply load whichever method suits your workflow. Ensemble patches combining these instruments in various configurations are also included. All patches load directly from the Logic Pro or MainStage Library panel using Logic's native Patch format, making setup as simple as selecting a patch and playing.

- Pub Pipes include the Celtic Sea Bed pad — a unique ambient sound created from conch shells and granular synthesis

The Celtic Pipes V3 download is 170 MB and is delivered as a macOS PKG installer file. Simply open the installer, follow the on-screen instructions, and the patches will be placed automatically in the correct location for Logic Pro or MainStage. A copy of the user manual will also be placed on your Desktop upon installation. This library requires Logic Pro 11.2.2 or higher, or MainStage 4 or higher, and is compatible with both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. Once installation is complete, open Logic Pro, create a Software Instrument track, load any virtual instrument plugin, and press Y to open the Library panel. Navigate to User Patches and you will find the Bolder Sounds Celtic Pipes V3 folder ready and waiting.
